Are you Eligible for Sixup Loan?

Our loan is designed to serve high-potential, low-income students who are underserved by traditional banks and don't have access to the capital they need to attend their best choice college. We are currently serving students in select states and will be expanding nationwide soon.


IN-COLLEGE loan for already attending a four-year college.

TRANSFER loan for community college students transferring to four-year colleges.

FIRST-YEAR loan for incoming freshmen to four-year colleges.


State Residency. You live in one of the following states: AR, FL, NC, NE, NM, OR, TX, VA, or WV.

Four-Year College. You are matriculating to or enrolled in a four-year institution.

US Resident. You are a US citizen or permanent resident.

18 Or Over. You are over the age of 18 (or have a co-signer over the age of 18).


High-Achiever. You are high-achieving with strong academic performance.

Pell Grantee. You are a Pell grantee, first generation college student or other underserved student.

FAFSA Completed. You have completed FAFSA and accepted all financial aid and work study offered to you.

Loan Size. You have a minimum need of $2,500 and maximum need of $15,000 per academic year.


Rates based primarily on academic record and financial need. Fixed Rates from 6.49-9.49%; Variable Rates from 4.49-8.49% (Rates subject to change; Variable rate based on LIBOR).

1% origination fee and 10-year repayment period (Repayment begins 6 months after graduation or if students enrolled part-time).

Pre-approval loans are free with no hidden fees and no obligation to take the loan; if a student opts to take the loan, the minimum amount is $2,500.

Any Sixup loan can be cancelled within 90 days after disbursement of funds to your school for any reason.

The Application Process

Qualified candidates will be invited to complete the final application and credit check (if you have no credit, it doesn't count against you).
